when AMANDA corners AMBER you LIED on shayla just to snatch ANTHONY back
“You Lied on Shayla”
The hallway was quiet — too quiet. School had just let out, and most students had already scattered to after-school clubs, buses, or the basketball court. But Amanda wasn’t leaving. Not until she found Amber.
Amanda’s footsteps echoed through the east wing of Lincoln High, the same hallway where it all began — whispers, rumors, and that lie that blew everything up.
Then she saw her.
Amber was at her locker, casually scrolling her phone like she hadn’t just detonated someone’s reputation. Amanda didn’t slow her pace. Her sneakers struck the floor like thunder, eyes locked on the girl who’d turned their world upside down.
“Amber.” Her voice was low. Controlled. Dangerous.
Amber flinched just slightly, then looked up with that usual smug smirk. “Amanda. You look... pressed.”
Amanda stepped in close. “You lied on Shayla. And for what? So Anthony would look at you again?”
Amber scoffed. “Excuse me?”
“Don’t play dumb now. You told Anthony that Shayla was talking to Dre behind his back. You made him break up with her — humiliate her — and now, what? He’s suddenly talking to you again?”
Amber rolled her eyes. “I just told him the truth. If Shayla didn’t want her business out there—”
“She didn’t have any business. You made that up!” Amanda snapped, voice rising. “You faked those screenshots. I know because I saw the real texts — from Shayla’s phone.”
Amber hesitated, her fingers curling around her phone. The smirk faded. Just for a second.
Amanda stepped even closer. “You thought nobody would check. You thought everyone would just believe you because you always play the sweet one — the loyal friend. But you’re not. You’re just obsessed. With Anthony. With being ‘chosen.’ So you burned Shayla just to get your turn again.”
Amber’s mouth opened, but Amanda cut her off. “I’m not done. Shayla cried for days. You knew how hard she worked to build that relationship with Anthony after everything he went through last year. And instead of supporting her, you stabbed her in the back. Just to feel wanted.”
“You don’t understand,” Amber said finally, voice tight. “He was mine first.”
Amanda shook her head slowly. “People aren’t property, Amber. He’s not yours. And after this? He never will be.”
At that moment, Anthony rounded the corner — as if summoned by truth. He’d heard enough. Amanda could tell by the stunned look on his face. Amber turned toward him, pale and panicked.
“Anthony—”
“Don’t,” he said, quietly. “Just don’t.”
Amanda backed away, her work done. As she walked off, she heard Anthony’s voice, low and disappointed: “I can’t believe you did that to her. To all of us.”
Amber was left in silence. Alone. Exposed.
And somewhere down the hall, Amanda found Shayla — waiting by the vending machine — and gave her a nod.
Justice wasn’t always loud. Sometimes, it just needed the truth to corner a lie.
Well, she did the same thing to Amber, telling Anthony that Amber loved Wayne, and that was not true; she loves her Husband.
